BioCert Authenticator v. 2.0

New BioCert Authenticator Coming Soon -

We are PRE-ANNOUNCING to our developer community the following changes in the BioCert Authenticator v2.0 which is in the final stages of testing with our RC1. We anticipate having a fully functional Release Candidate with documentation available by June 20th, 2006. This new version promises to have many improvements in the interface, logic, back-end and matching speed in addition to many updates to the functionality namely:

• Multi-Threaded for Multiple User Authenticatation
• Built upon the .NET platform
• Improved Algorithm for lower FAR and faster speed.
  
• Multi-Threaded TCP/IP Communication between reader and DB
• Code Signed and Verified
• Simple Licensing Schema with Web Authentication for ISV Licenses
• Runs as a Service (Client and Server)
• .dll wrapper for .ocx compatibility
• Multi-server compatibility

BioCert Authenticator v2.0 will offer a superior experience and programming platform with simple, effective licensing, upgrades and options to integrate additional features and ISV co-branding. We will offer an opportunity for existing customers to upgrade from 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 to the new version for a nominal fee.

We have code signed the BioCert.ocx with a digital certicate. Before releasing, we would like to test it in different environments to make sure that everything is alright.

The signed version is the current 1.0.0.22. There should not be any compatibility issues.
